This is located within the Fort of Galle in a colonial Dutch warehouse with magnificent pillars. The main display in this Museum consists of flora and fauna. Some of the artefacts found here are preserved materials and scale models of whales and fishes.

Life size models illustrate the traditional methods of fishing. Some artefacts of underwater archaeology are also on display. There is a 'walk-into-the-sea' display which shows natural coral beds, sea grass beds and deep sea fishes. Galle is situated on the south-western coast of the country which is why this Museum is located here. Other aspects highlighted here are causes of sea-pollution, coast erosion, and the methods used to combat these problems.
