Local mango wood, plastic sheet.
Design attribute:
Contemporary geometrical shape with diagonal lines to replace traditional mythological stories.
Market:
Young high income urban individuals who have a taste for handcrafted items.
A plastic sheet is used to replace varied coloured woods which have become a scarcity. This also prevents deforestation.
37 varieties of coloured wood are not so easily available today. The use of plastic brings down the cost and adds a new colour palette to the products.
Base material:
Medium density fibre (MDF). Generally rosewood is used, which is expensive.

Candle stand: 8/3/4 inches
Pen stand: 4/2.5 inches
Local raw material market:
Wood and plastic sheets are available in plenty with local retailers, who supply to nearby artisans on a regular basis.
