Sri Lanka's vibrant craft traditions extends back centuries. It incorporates within it a complex collage of indigenous practices and foreign influences, comprising a syncretic contemporary reality. The handicrafts range from expositions of skill and artistic creativity, to marketable products that contribute significantly to the economy of the island country.
